My credo
Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
The trio recently finished filming whats going to be the very last Grand Tour special, takes place in Zimbabwe, will air next year. Luckily for us.. theres one more special between now and then.. also in Africa.

Nevermind that though..What in the actual F am I supposed to look forward to now?

Top gear & TGT have been such an incredibly large & important aspect of "my life" for the past 15 years at least. The two shows & those three limey old men solidified my interest in cars, helped shape my sense of humor, and really just added a much needed niceness to my life that it was lacking for one reason or another.

I say this without exaggeration.. the thought/realization of only 2 more episodes has me depressed.. and that very real depression has me feeling like a weak assed whiner 😑 grow up sissy.

I had a real hard time with getting into that show. I really liked the American one. It really sucked when they didn't do that very long....

Clarkson farm is pretty good on amazon.

Never could really get into TG/GT.

The only truly sucessful version of TopGear was with clarkson/may/hammond. Once they left.. the show saw a 75% decrease in viewership that never recovered.

The BBC sure tried like hell over and over again to Salvage it.. trying out endless hosts... never really worked out for them.

I did appreciate the American TopGear... but simply because it was a zany car show. In no way did I feel it had the SOUL of the O.G show.. and that soul was/is more than half the appeal to me. Jay Leno was approached to be a host of the American top gear actually.. and he declined. Interesting interview that was, I'll have to find it.

I do love all the guys individual shows too..

Oh cook with James may is gold, clarksons farm as well.. suped he's got 2 more seasons with that one.

Always loved top gear. To be fair, they are getting pretty old and probably don’t want to deal with the bs anymore.

I liked the British Top Gear show. Couldn't quite get unterested in Grand Tour. Clarkson's Farm is pretty cool. But hasn't drawn me to watch every episode. I seem to recall a show where one of them would fix small machines. That was kind of cool.

If I ever get too old to want to drive all the fanciest cars around all the fanciest parts of the planet.. just shoot me.

I can understand why they wouldn't want to do things like.. the polar special though lol.

What was it about topgear that had an edge over TGT for you?

I believe your thinking of James may: the reassembler.. I still need to get around to watching that one.
