It should do the job right

It's still just sitting there in the back yard I'm dying to finish it but money and a new family just won't allow me to do more than one project at a time

I've been working on the other ranger it's almost one to were I want it then it's back to this one hopefully soon

Got some progress done to the ranger still waiting on a motor for it though

I got started on the ranger again I've done some body work to the bed and cab still haven't figured out what I'm going to do about the radius arms idk if I'm going to just build a custom set for it or cut and lengthin the stock ones

what size or kind of springs should i get for the front of my truck I'm running 36 inch swampers and ill have a 351w in it as well I've read people using 3.5 inch lift springs from a early bronco and I've read people using 5.5 in xj coils is their a difference in them besides height

its getting a 63 inch Chevy leaf set up in the rear with bell-tech shackles

If you're going to build new coil towers go with the XJ's. You can put a post in the middle to allow more down travel and just run a limiting strap. I have EB coils and I like them but they only stretch so far.
But they are stiff enough I don't need a sway bar.

I'm buying the duff tuff coil tower for a SAS swap so if I want a softer ride I Need the xj coils

xj coils wont support a 351.. id be going to EB coils in fact i am

Good to know 3.5 inch coils big enough to clear 36s

That would depend on your setup. do you have stock coil buckets at the stock height? fenders trimmed? body lift?

if you go on bronco graveyard they list the coil springs there with the ppi and you can get a start there

I'm getting the duff tuff SAS coil tower with dual shocks their suppose to be spaced out already no body lift and as of right now no fender trimming

this is one of those you kinda need to get the pieces in and see how it works deals. if you have buddys with spare parts kicking around thats great i just leant out my 3.5" eb coils to a buddy who builds trucks for a living.

he built a sas'd ranger on 38.5s at full stuff to know he could aim for 8" up travel put my coils in and they were too soft only giving about 5" up travel so you can either lower the coil buckets and run it but then you lose that compression room or order stiffer coils which is what ended up happening.

after you get the suspension to do what you want you deal with the stupid shit like fender trimming and such to make the tires fit. i dont understand why guys bump and limit their suspensions just so tires dont rub.

I just didn't want to buy a set of springs and they not be big enough or do what I want I think 3.5 eb coils would be a good start at least to get my truck on the trails again
