early Jeep front of the front springs. there are shackles with a limiter to prevent the flip.

those have shackles at the leading end, they flip easier when the axle rams into something.

First puck made. These fit the housing ends very well. They will bolt to the ends and slide over the bar.

About to start printing the pucks for the differential case. They are just cylinders with an OD of 3.062" and and ID of 1.625".

I hit a snag with the axles. The ones I have are Speedway Motors cut-to-fit 31 spline axles. They have a splined section that is 8" long. This is plenty long for the passenger side axle, but the driver's side won't work. The splined section needs to be longer so the axle will insert into the housing farther. It needs about 1" more spline. Luckily, Speedway sells another brand that has a 10-1/2" splined section and luckily I had a $40 credit so I have one on the way.

Also, it seems if you call a 7/16-20 grade 8 bolt that is 7/8" long a "ring gear" bolt, it doubles the price. Haha. Nope. I'll take the box of 10 for $12 vs. $30.

Man I am all giddy about those wheels. Haha

Outside wheel lip to lip is 62", which is a skosh narrower than stock so these should tuck up in the fenderwells nicely.

What is the brackets on the back of the axle for? Shocks?

Yes, the rear shocks will be vertical behind the rear axle. Those brackets offer a ton of adjustability for whatever length shock I end up with. Prob won't decide that until it's on wheels at ride height.

I like that bracket idea. Would have to be much thicker for the things I do, IMO. I landed hard and broke a shock mount off the axle tube.
