That Stock Muffler... There's A Lot Going On In There.

Some people are so lazy...

You're supposed to answer my questions, not the other way around. Isn't that how forums work? BTW, where's my stimulus check?

I bet THAT'S going to cost a pretty penny to replace...

I'm still waiting for someone to explain why the exhaust hanger is made of hollow tube with a quick connect flare on it...

Seriously, That's old leftover high pressure fuel line right? I mean ford is cheap but come on...

For a given diameter, a hollow tube weighs less then solid bar... less weight = better mpg

Hi-tech stuff right there ^^^^

Did they use leftover fuel line for the muffler hanger? :icon_confused:
For a guy who claims to do a lot of high end exhaust work, I can't believe a muffler hangar has confused you.

Lamborghini's and Ferrari's don't use old fuel line and rubber donuts for exhaust hangers. They don't use exhaust hangers at all...

What does the dumpster have to do with anything?

I always thought they looked more like someone made some horrible mistakes at the Igloo cooler factory...

Here’s the pictures.

There, that wasn't so hard was it?

The flapper is supposed to create the perfect amount of back pressure at any given engine RPM. I installed a system with one on my 87 BII when the rebuilt 2.9L first went on (approximately 2008).

That's a really clever way to market what is nothing more than a noise reduction device. :icon_rofl:

If it actually did anything to improve performance in any way than why does the $1,100 factory Ford performance exhaust upgrade not have it.

The exhaust tubing is absolutely huge for a four banger too. V6 exhaust is quite a bit smaller and it has almost twice the displacement.
