T5 to 2.3

no no... there's no zero after the decimal, it for sure is 0.6x and i'm 99% sure my mustang has a .68 5th, not .63

the difference between .068 and .063 is negligable, and even the difference between .68 and .63 won't be much...

i don't think you misunderstood what i was saying though

Oh piss. Thanks for catching that weezl. I agree, yours should be the .68 gear.

I love the Fairmont's. This one that Latemodel Restoration Supply has is freakin' awesome. It's a 3V 4.6 liter.

Here's the build: http://www.mylrs.com/blogs/lrs/archive/2009/01/12/Ford-Racing-4.6L-3-Valve-Fox-Body-Swap-Part-1.aspx

Sorry OP, had to share this.

This is my Fairmont... Still has (and will continue to have) a 200 six...

But it does have a T5...

...

The Non-5 speed tranny would have been the SROD, though a few of the 81-83 monts came with T4's, VERY rare though... never came with a T5... Whats nice is that the T4 and SROD share the same bell, and you can drop a T5 in by modding the Srod bell, or bolting it into the T4 bell (different bolt patterns, same casting) Thats what I did to have a cable operated T5 in my car...

Oooh I didnt mean do both at the same time lol I would only do one or the other
