Swick's Prerunner

In my opinion that would hang way to low

i greatly appreciate that.

i've seen them hang lower. as long as he has enough clearance with his suspension fully compressed, he's fine.

same here. there is and there would be even more once i go to a 33 tall tire.

It doesn't appear to hang much lower than the stock spare....

it doesn't. the tire i was using for mock up was a 32 tall x 11.5 and the card stock mock up is 10" deep at the most.

Well as long as there is a bit of clearance at full bump then your good

^^ the paper box was used to give my an idea of where things need to be and what need to be relocated.

took advantage of the 50% off weekeng at the local pick and pull. i picked up a OEM header panel to replace the Chinese POS plastic one i had. the damn thing was supper flimsy. the one i picked up is white so it matches all my glass.

Ok I give, why did you cover it up?

internal support for the out riggers for my tire gate. ^^ these are the hinges. doing what i did just insures that the 2x4 will not crack and fall off due to the weight of a 70 lbs tire and 5-10 gals. of fuel.

plus im making the tail gate hinge off of the bumper as well. my bed sides are getting torn up due to the weight and lack of support.

the main hoop on the bumper is 2". the internal out riggers support is 1.5" tube and sleeved over by 1.75" tube. the external out rigger is 2x4" rectangle tube.

Ah..... that make more sense. Your taking me back to my IHC scout building days now..
Whats the overall design?

Ok...

that looks nice.

i know who built that bumper!

i like yours, it's turning out different, which is nice to see over the typical tube bumper

haha you do. as you can tell the truck in its intercity is not your norm.

came home to this. intersection is flooded with water and hail and the truck getting beat to shit. what takes me 30min to get home today it took me an hour and a half.

during my last offloading session i had some carnage. what happen was my driver side tail light falling off. after i found it i i could not think of a good reason of it falling off. i cam to the conclusion that it just had weak mounts but i was not settled on that. since that trip my tail light keep falling off and i noticed that my bed side flaps in the wind. i investigated my issue and found this. two cracks in the bed and looks like my shackles made contact with the rear main support. i knew that it would make contact but did not have time to clearance it. i clearanced the shackles and re-welded all my cuts and cracks.

i also added and 2x2 angle iron to support the bed and stiffen up the rear lip of it.

i headed south this weekend to visit family. along the way i started to hear hollow pops. i feared that my upper arm mounts were cracking out. well they were. so i ditched the in laws to fix my truck.
