Swick's Prerunner

No!! I would have kept them.... what do you have to replace them with? Im going for the FOA's.

Im guna run a bronco 8.8 too in the future. These trucks are light and unless your guna drop a huge engine with lots of hp the 9 inch rear is not necessary IMO.

im glad i sold them. they were to much shock (2.5 x18) for my set up. plus at the time i picked them up i was planning to build the truck for a single use. that meant full bed cage and i would have been very limited to what i can use my truck for. i bought my truck with the plan to build into a prerunner and to be a truck. with the countless hours on DR, race-dezert and other off road forums made me realize that i would not have a truck anymore. with that new revelation i started to plan my tuck to what it is now.

to keep up with that idea, the near future plans are to ditch the stock tank and replace it with a 22 gal jaz or ATl fuel cell and place it rear of the axle. with the new found space in front of the axle and under the cab i will build a canti lever shock set up. by doing this i will give the truck better weight distribution right to left and give it a little better center of gravity. i will be able to have full use of my bed. for an idea of what im talking about look in to the link i provided below.

im with you on the fw 8.8. i found a local guy to re drill my axle once i find one. im looking at $40 buck per side which seems like a good deal to me.

i picked up a full width axle today. i was able to pick it up for no cost to me. all i had to do was help the original owner with some things. im also going to go back tomorrow and pick up some move stuff. im glad i have to get the axles re drilled because it need new wheel seals. tomorrow morning im going to strip it down and see what else its go to need. im also going to see what i can can be swapped over from my ranger axle. i

i have had fun with my ranger 8.8 with 3.55 limited slip for over 200,000 miles. also i have never serviced it besides making sure the diff fluid is where its suppose to be. that is one of the reasons im swapping out the ranger 8.8 for the fw 8.8.

my bounty for today. picked it all up for free charge but i did have to work 6 hours. so hare i worked for this guy for 8 hours and i have pulled over $500 in parts (local wrecking yard prices). all the parts were pulled from a 96 expo. i also scored a cb radio. i was able to pull a functioning tail gate for my dads 85 bronco.

Won't you have to remove some paint to do any welding to it? Like for a spring perch/shock mount?
