My blower motor switch is going out. Middle option is intermittent and it feels like it binds up at times to the point it almost locks up. Replacement switch doesn't come with a knob, anyone know any tricks to remove the knob?

I have the later black style.

Those knobs should just pull off. (unless Ford glued them on).

Don't those have a little spring clip just like the headlight switch?

Yep, visible in the pictures above.

Just push the top of that little tab forward while pulling the knob. (Is it really a knob if it doesn't turn?)

My shift knob doesn't turn...

Thanks though! I never noticed they had tabs on the back side.

Use a stout metal hook, on the rear lower of the knob (if memory serves) and pull the knob off. Yes, there is a metal friction clip that using a metal hook will "untension" it enough to let the knob slip off.

The best tool I've found for this, is technically called a "cotter pin removal tool":

I always just used a small flat screwdriver. Lay it flat against the bar of the switch and pull forward. Try not to lose the damn thing when it comes off.
