My friend had a explorer that he parted out and it had a 8.8 in with disc brakes and 3.73s he knew i needed a rear so I gave him a hand stripping it all down and he gave me the 8.8 for helping him. My question now is besides haven to swap the spring perches, sway bar mounts, and put shock taps on it. I pretty much need to know how you went about hooking the brake lines up and if there was anything else that you ran into after you started the swap. I know I need to get u bolts and up the flange from the exploder drive shaft. Is there anything that I am forgetting.

If you use the stock Explorer brake hose, the hydraulic line will bolt right up.
The parking brake cables you may have to get a bit creative with though.

I fashioned a linkage out of some old cable linkage clips and a piece of threaded rod for mine (hooks the stock Explorer p-brake cables to the original cable going to the brake pedal).
