hello the other day when i took off the tire on my ranger which is an 84 4X4 i saw that there were two spacers in the springs. the spacers cause an odd form to the spring, like an s shape. and a lot of negative camber. the springs look to be stock but are the spacers? is it safe to remove them and how should i do this as i don't have a lot of tools other than the basics. thank you

Are they similar to these? If so they are to help give your springs extra lift (or likely in your case) original spring ride height because the springs are worn out causing the "s" shape you mentioned. It's probably best you replace them, you can rent a spring compressor from your local parts store and swap them out with basic hand tools, but air tools may make the job a little easier.
