Suspension Lowering

I have a 94 Ford Ranger STX 4x4 and am wanting to lower the body approx 3-4 inches from stock to allow easier access for my wife. This was her truck, factory ordered by her, for her but due to disability from a back injury and surgeries she has difficulty getting in and out. I am wanting to make the truck more accessible for her but am not having any luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Not sure how her injuries will affect her moving around, but it might be easier and cheaper to put nerf bars or running boards on it and a grab handle on the A pillar to pull herself in.

some other thoughts... does it have the High Rider package with the 31" tires? if so you might be able to swap out the extra 2 inch lift in the back and put smaller tires on it (be sure to recalibrate the speedo), that will drop it down a bit.

or trade it in for a 2wd truck

I'd agree with getting the truck (or a different truck) a little closer to the ground. I think nerf bars and handles won't help, yes they make it easier to get in but doesn't mean less movement which I assume is what's causing pain. Also see about getting the seat lower I'd imagin a grinder and a drill and you could get something going but not sure never done any seat mods. Also you could get your wife a rascal and a ramp and strap her into the bed. (Joke.) Too soon? Just plain not funny? Sorry
