SOO, drving home from my exhaust appointment my 99 4.0/5spd Ranger started to feel like it was missing when I would let off the throttle. When I came to a stop it wanted to die. The idle is only at 500-600 and surging up and down. The rest of the drive was a bit scary on the frontage road cause it kept trying to stall out. When I tap the throttle the response time is horrible and the truck feels very underpowered.
I had to drive my explorer to work, I havent' had time to look into it yet.
Before I tear into it, any ideas or things to look for? Its not throwing any codes...yet. I'm thinking it feels like a fuel problem, so maybe the fuel pump?
Thanks in advance -Robert
