Supercab Roof Structure

Does anyone have pictures of the interior roof structure of a 1998-2011 supercab? I'm looking to install a CB and a Big Sky gun rack and would rather not pull the liner if I don't have to and it would help me decide which model of gun rack to get.

if you have a long gun measure the roof first, it isn't very wide.

You are right on that. Some, like my 870 definitely will be too long. I'll check the Marlin 336 and 1985 but they should fit.

I avoid Pittsburgh and don't foresee any need to transport any rifles for Mayor Pinhead to worry about. While I can "combat" drive with the best of them, I don't like doing it if it can be avoided.

I've thought about trying to get arrested on that one so I can bring civil and criminal charges against Peduto and the city.

Being that would do worlds of hurt to my security clearance and probably nix any chance of me keeping my retirement with the Air National Guard, I'll pass. As much as I might want to do it and give the FOAC and GOA grounds to pursue and support the lawsuit, not to mention making the AG do his job since he seems insistent on having someone arrested before he'll go after the Pittsburgh Mayor and city officials.

I have no such concerns, and I'm pretty sure I'd be a rich man at the end because once I won the legal suit I'd go after the PD, the mayor, and the council members civilly for the damage to my career and life..

I measured the interior cab at the narrowest point where the rear doors latch and got 38.5". Everything I have except one rifle and the shotguns will fit. Assuming I can get the rack that close to the roof. There nice bit of metal behind the latch ring where the mounts should fit for the rack that has the mounts on the end instead of the one directly to the roof. It also looks like I may need to cut some pass through holes for the bar so the roof liner doesn't get crushed. It looks like it will work. I'll do some test fitting before I fully commit and post pictures if all goes well.

I suggest checking at the local wrecking yard/collision center/stereo shop. They may have one with the headliner removed, or you could uninstall one at the local wrecking yard. There used to be a shelf assembly that mounted were the visors mount ( then visors were remounted to bottom of shelf ). Have not seen one in a long while, but that system may help you with mounting.
