does any one have any info on ford 2.3 superturbos it would be neat to see a 4 banger with a superturbo charger like what the 00 had in the dukes of hazzard reunion

a super turbo boosts at both end. it has all the pro's and none of the cons.

If it had "all the pros" and "none of the cons" then it would be widely accepted and practiced daily.

If you're talking about a compound system that uses a turbocharger compressor to feed into a roots/lysholm compressor then I have to tell ya there are plenty of "cons".

Imagine if you put a supercharger on top of your engine. Then you took a turbocharger and plumbed the intake into the supercharger's inlet. I think this is what he's referring to.

Its more commonly referred to Twin-Charging in the GM 3800 world.

You can run a MONSTER of a turbo and mitigate the Boost Lag with a little boost from the blower, then bypass the blower once the turbo finally comes online.

But like Gotta_gofast said, there are a LOT of cons, massive cost of 2 forced induction systems being one. Insane intake temps being another, you pretty much have to have an intercooler for the turbo, but a post blower intercooler can have a pretty big improvement too.

I dont think we will be seeing that available for quite some time. . . . .

Plus its a centrifugal supercharger, which have some of the main drawbacks of turbo's, They are trying to make it seem like positive displacement blowers that make instant boost and power.

I thought they switched cars during the race? The 'real' Double Zero wasn't 'superturcharged' of whatever. The 'cheater' car was the one with the so-called 'illegal engine'. It's been a while since I saw that but, remember, anything can be anything in television.

yea it was the other mustang, but it was dressed up like the Double zero. what i want to know is there any such thing and has it been put on a 4 bagger like my 2.3l. my neighbor told me they have been around for along time.
