Anyone else run these tires & is it even possible to get them close to balanced?
I bought a set app 2 - 3 months ago from 4wd Hardware & I am extremely frustrated. They are 33-13.50-15. I spent damn near the entire day waiting to get them mounted & balanced only to be told they did not have the right weights. :annoyed:

Their solution was to put something called "equal" or something inside the tire, I agreed because they said it was better. I drove home expecting the flat spots to gradually go away ( bias ply). They never did.

Well, I have roughly 800 miles or less on them & they shake my B2 so bad, I have to carry wrenches & screwdrivers to retighten interior bolts after every trip. I do not want to go back to 4wd & sit there all day again! Mon or Tues I am going local to see if anybody can just get them better than they are & if not, I may just try to sell em. Awesome tires offroad, but getting to the trails will shake your teeth loose. I have run bias mud tires for 15 yrs, & this is the worst experience I have ever had! :annoyed::dntknw::pissedoff:

Anything from Interco, with the possible exception of Swamper SSR's, is difficult to balance.

Like Johnny said, because they don't usually get balanced...What do you mean they didn't have the right weights? Like they were out of weights or there was just too much to put on the rim? The biggest weight we have at the shop is 3.75 oz I think.

Bias ply tires will get flat spots in the cold or from sitting on one spot for a while. And like mentioned above they are really hard to balance. Equal works for balancing them, as does RV antifreeze and BB's or lead shot.

My Interco TSL Radials balanced fine when I had them mounted about a month ago, but I think they're out of balance already. As others have said, I guess that's the price we pay for extraordinary traction:icon_thumby:

Hopefully I can get them re-balanced without any issue.

I balance all my tires internally with brass BB's and have yet to run across one that didn't balance atleast close to even. Usually a 35" or smaller gets a slightly more then level bottom side of a pop/beercan full and it works great. This also makes up for chunks you may tear outta the tire's tread, or mud in the rims etc until you can wash them.

Air soft BB's are the best.

It can take up to 8 0z per tire to get these bastards balanced, but IMHO, it's worthless. They're gonna vibrate till they warm up anyway, if you want a DD tire, buy a DD tire, not a bias ply mudder. :icon_idea:

IMO pick up a cheap set of 31's on craigslist and mount them on steel wheels to use on the street. Swampers wear down way too quick to run them on the street anyway. Why waste good rubber on the road?

what about sticky weights on the rims? I have a set of 35x12.50s on my diesel, front 2 are about half tread, and the rears are pretty much bald. They have sticky weights on them and seem to be balanced pretty good, still vibrates a little bit but not enough to rattle your teeth loose.

Because you'll have to reallign your front end everytime you swap from 31s to 33s. :icon_thumby:

Realign the front end because of a tire size change?? Umm what?
