super lift good or bad?

Superlift TTB kits are nothing to write home about, though they'll get the job done provided you aren't wheeling it real hard.

Skyjacker makes a much better kit if you're looking for both offroad performance and durability (Class II kit together w/FA600 drop pitman arm).

skyjacker or duff is the way to go. if u arent doing hardcore wheeling or beating the snot out of it regularly i would get the rough country over the superlift, its alot cheaper. btw bds makes a kit thats about the same price as the superlift with a lifetime you break it they replace it warranty. ive used and buddies have used alot of bds stuff with nothing but good results. my buddy is running a LA bds kit on a 2500 cummins with no probs, and thats a heavy mofo

yea the skyjacker is a lil to expensive for me. the bds is good but it doesnt come with extended radius arms. i could make my own but is that to hard?

just takes a little time, not really rocket science. theres a pic thread around here somewhere

yea i think i mite get the bds. but probably just get tha rough country and make my radius arms. and use chevy springs out back. its hard to make your mind up with so many options.

I have a 6 inch superlift does fine for me so far I do need a one peice driveshaft Not a bad vibration but for wheeling it's not a good Idea. I bought mine from National Tire and Wheel it was at the time in there suspension speacial $499 Comes with everything listed in your link Then Buy Chevy brake lines for your front cheaper than Braided lines

oh well that was a good deal. after that said i may go with it then. so you have to buy shocks? or does it come with it?

If you're looking for a cheap lift that's still somewhat decent, go with Tuff Country. Both BDS and Rough Country use a drop-plate extension bracket on the front axle, which is known to bust open the front diff housing if you hit a bump good enough.

Making radius arms isn't hard, though you do need a good welder (220V). Do a search, you should be able to find plenty of info on building some.

There's nothing wrong with a super lift kit. Providing you don't buy it new. I have a used kit with arms and only paid 300 and I beat it pretty hard and no failures. Just extend your bump stop on the driver side about 4 inches down.

yea i like the rough countryy cost. an there not a drop plate.its a new bracket. ive got a welder. and need to invest into new one. any suggestions? i wouldnt be wheeling but on the weekends and when im outa school.

If you get a Rough Country kit and it actually comes with a new bracket instead of a drop plate extension, please post some pics of it (the rumor mill has been churning on this one for quite some time now (years), but no one has ever reported actually getting one yet).

And yes, a used Superlift kit that someone has reinforced the brackets & radius arms on should be fine, if you luck out and happen across one.
