Here's some build, action, and carnage pics of my super deuce over the last 8 years.

Originally bought this 1990 Bronco II with a locked up 2.9. Pretty quickly swapped in a 98 4.0 ohv off craigslist and the project was driving in a weekend with the help from my friend Logan.

Drove it stock with the 4.0 for a bit while stock piling some front end parts and materials. Had a few ideas for suspension but decided to keep it stock width with ranger STX geometry at the beam pivot brackets.

Next to the rear, stunt hoop to mount some bypasses and a Deaver F31 leaf pack, then added air bumps to the front. Truck got a good tear down after a lot more miles on the build.

Some random carnage! Broken leaf springs, and lost a fuel pump in a blizzard. Got the rear interior back in and the shocks fully sealed up.

SOHC build and swap, sourced a decent motor off ebay after failing in the local yards. Threw new timing parts, injectors, intake gaskets, plugs, wires, y pipe, headers, beam pivots modified, lower engine cross member hack, made a new engine cage cross member, modified the engine harness, new intake, power steering lines, IAC relocated, hood notched, and the HVAC box hacked to hell.

Took 4-6 months and 2 dyno trips, but the power is so much more user friendly.

Last prep in this garage, yanked the sohc out before a trip for more clearance work on the HVAC. Truck still rocking the FM146, and it was starting to show, the front seal and bearing started crying on my clutch, no problem just parts!

Big stuff out in the dunes following UTV's, went off a 15' drop, bent/rolled the driver frame really bad. Broke and bent a ton of things. drive shaft, front diff, drivers beam, master cylinder, brake booster, driver caliper, driver knuckle, driver stub shaft, front diff spider gears, and the steering box. No problem just parts? Took about a year to fix.

Back out in the dunes, took it pretty easy on it this trip, lots of tug boat duties, 4-5 stuck trucks in the dunes extracted. FM146 output shaft in 2 parts, think I hurt it going off that cliff a year ago, but I know yanking people out in 4x didn't help, cool thing is it let go heading back to camp on flat ground.

A burgundy brother provided a m5r1 core, I tore it down, and it was full of rtv and with some hazy bearings. So it got blasted and I rebuilt it, along with a gen2 ranger short shifter assembly. That pretty much brings this build up to date. Depending on how this trans holds up, the next project is going to be single swing steer. But for now I'd like to just hammer out some easy miles on it.
