Stuck T-case fill plug :(

To be honest, I was a bit confused when I drained the transmission and gear oil came out. Unfortunately I have the FM146 trans.

The upgrades I mentioned previously will take time.
My new to me bronco made an 18hr drive over 2 days to reach me...so I'm not complaining. I've only driven her 2hrs to bring her home, and enjoyed every minute.
She may not have the better components, but she is mine.

Looking forward to my new daily, and upgrading her over time.
What's that saying, "It's all about the journey, not the destination".

Super appreciative for all the assistance I've received here on TRS.

This is a good place to be, believe me everything takes time... I've had my '90 for over 25 years now and it's come a long way, sometimes baby steps sometimes giant leaps, some of them are even backwards :).

Nothing too wrong with your current drivetrain as long as somewhat close to stock... with 31" tires and a Dana 28 you'll be fine as long as you aren't hard on it with the wheels cranked, nothing is glass fragile or anything, just work on slowly gathering parts and putting them in when the time comes or do things in a big lump like I did when I did my swap to a 1354, D35 and explorer 8.8 along with the 6" lift and a transmission rebuild all within two weekends in my friends garage :) (oh to be young again)

Simply (don't throw stuff) a 3/8ths socket drive extension is a perfect fit. WTG on the work around. Hope all the cuttings came out. I have a 3/8" breaker bar with a shorty extension that worked, fit "up in there" really well.

FYI, the best rust penetrant is a 50/50 mix of ATF and acetone in a spray bottle. Just make a small batch because the acetone will evaporate off. The ATF eats rust and the acetone thins it enough to get into the threads.
