I have an issue that I cant seem to find any answers to. I am replacing my transfer case shift motor in my 99 ranger and cant get the triangle shaft to line up with the new motor. Iv tried manually shifting it with pliers/ channel locks and it seems to be very stuck. I have already put some teeth marks on the shaft and don't want to damage it. No idea what to do because it is stuck in 4wL

Also, i plugged the new motor in to try and change its positioning to match that of the T-case shaft and it wouldn't move... very frustrating.

have you tried jacking the wheels off the to make sure there is nothing in a bind? Before
trying to manually rotate it. I could be lying to you but, I think there is a sensor which tells it where it's at so when you push the 4 low button it's going, but I'm already there.Without
going out and looking I jumper-ed the the two wires coming out of the motor at the plug
and was able to rotate it just figure where it needs to be, just be careful to rotate in
correct direction. don't want to rotate it backwards!
