alright well im new to the fullsize axles, but i bought a FW D44 an 9" for my ranger. an ive striped the 9" but im trying to get the hubs off the 44, i got the internal locking part out but is the hub housing suppost to be attached to the rotor? or should it seperate? i still have the spindle nut on but i know thats holding the wheel bearings an rotor on but is the hub attached to that?

oh yes hub and rotor one piece take the spindle lock nut off and lock ring then the spindle nut off and it will all come off

yup, like he said....but once you have the assembly off,if you want to take the rotor off the hub,you can drive the wheel lugs out then tap the rotor off the hub.

ok ya i kinda scared myself cuz i thought the hub housing came off the rotor so i just got a chizel an tapped between the two an it started coming apart but then i realized the lug nuts were splined into the housing an one lug nut fell out so i figured i broke it or something lol.

but thanks alot guys

no problem...have fun with the swap.
