Strange Things You've hauled or towed with your RBV

9 people and 8 mountain bikes shuttling to the top of a trail. And my truck has subs in the extended cab part, so no people back there... all in the box/bench seat. And if anyone on here mountain bikes, they'll KNOW what a feat it is to stick 8 bikes in that truck, let alone with 9 people in it! The ol' 2.9 was kind of struggling to get up some of them hills... haha!

My wife was starting her garden and SHE wanted to make it all organic. That translates into a lot of sh*t in the back of my ranger. All told it was like 10 trips for her garden.

Lots of firewood and pulled a trailer with a new hot tub from Illinois.

Usually I haul pallets and stuff around, 4 wheelers on occasion, dump runs... The weirdest thing was a bed full of drunk people on the beach. I had the only truck that could make it down the beach.

Nothin really wierd that I can think of... lots of normal stuff with my Ranger and never really hauled anything with any of my BIIs, always had my Ranger for hauling. Stuff like two D-44 straight axles, D-60 FF, D-30, three 33" tires and a Ranger tailgate stuffed in under the cap on the truck once...

Various other collections of parts and stuff, usually filled the bed good for a trip. Also had over a ton of limestone in the bed before...

Just normal stuff...

I towed a 91 explorer from NE Philly back to South Jersey on a tow dolly. 45 was about the max I could go without it swaying all over the place. Not a fun thing to do going over the Walt Whitman bridge. I also hauled back two tons of mulch and mushroom soil to fill mom's new tomato bed. That took three trips. The first trip almost sagged the bed down to the bumpstops.

well i've got a toolbox in my truck that takes up two feet of my bed, which is only 6ft to begin with, but i managed to cram 5-37"x12.5"x15 superswampers in there on beadlocks. BARELY fit, and it took me 2 hours to figure out how i was gonna do it.

oh, and i've had like 15 people ride in it, 2 or 3 in the cab, including me, and the rest in the bed. they wouldn't ever shut up cause the road was "too rough" haha

I bought a old airplane,(a 46 Piper Cub), on the west coast, then flew it, (barely) to my home town, dismantled it at the airport and towed the fuselage, (with the engine and prop still on it) home by tying the tail wheel to the tail gate on my truck. Later we towed the wings home on a flat bed trailer. We then rebuilt and recovered the entire plane and it is still flying today. You should have seen people when we towing the fuselage home, one guy stopped and took a picture. I took plenty of pictures too, but they were all on 35mm slide film and I have not digitized them yet. I sold the plane to my brother who sold it to another guy who just leaves it in a hanger at the airport. Such a shame, it was a lot of fun to fly.

900lbs of old lead roofing material. it all fit in about 4 milk crates... thats some heavy shit but it was free and scrap was up!

Approximately $20,000 in audio + video product. That was a semiweekly event for 6 months, when I was an AV installer.
