strange leaf springs?

Can i get some help identifying these leaf springs ive necer seen them like this before they appear to be fiberglass they are on my 2wd 94 v8 truck and they are VERY bouncy

some rangers came stock with the fiberglass mono leaf springs. I think mostly 2wd 4cyl trucks. I really wouldn't want them with a truck that's had a v8 swap though.

Hmmm...interesting...never seen those in Canada...I prefer the rusty metal, but I'm sure they are strong enough...

ive seen fiberglas single-leafs on a chevy astro van before, never on a ranger. mine has 3-leaf steel.

If I remember right they would split down the middle of the spring and the crack would run the length of the spring, atleast I have seen a few do it, so most trucks had these replaced with the steel ones.

ya know... that's one thing I've never seen in real life.

I've only seen one. One of the guys I used to work with had a Ranger in for inspection with those. He wasn't sure if it was factory or not and called me back to look since I'm the shop's Ranger expert. That was a 3.0 2wd.

They definitely exhist. There are no replacement springs for them available today.
