Stock 16' tires on 98 Ranger

Hi Guys,
I am only asking this because I cannot find any info on this and the truck that I just bought is missing the label on the door showing tire size. I have ordered the build sheet from Ford but need this info now to get tires.

It is a 1998 4wd XLT off road extended cab and has stock 16'' wheels on it. I am trying to find out what the stock size tire was for this truck but can find no reference to it.

The stock 16" tires were P245/75-16. Recommended inflation pressures as I recall (I used to have an '02 Off-Road) were 30f/35r but I got better ride and handling and tire wear reversing that and using 35f/30r unless I knew I was going to put a heavy load in the bed.
You can also use P255/70-16, P265/70-16 (I did), and P265/75-16 if you want something a little bigger.

Some newer Ford vehicles have the tire size and pressure specs on the back of the gas door as well.

yep P245/75-16's are what all 1998 to around 2003 4wd's take , however if you do go up in size to say a P255/70-16 or P265/70-16 your speedo will be off by a few MPH , which i believe you can get a tuner to program the system to your new tire size..

The diameter difference is negligable, not enough to affect the speedo or worry about it or need a tuner or worry about it.
