Still ticking after lifters replaced :(

I forgot to mention that someone said it could possibly be a wrist pin, not sure how I'd test for that but it sounds like a viable cause.

a wrist pin would be a double knocking noise, not a ticking.

My 2.9 with brand new oil pump has a tick mostly when i let off the throttle.

Thanks guys I just put sea foam in the oil, ran it till it was right hot and then dumped it. It was BLACK! I'm guessing this is the sea foam working? Regardless, the thing still ticks, mind you quieter, but I noticed that when I rev the engine up to say... 3k for 10 or 20 seconds, oil pressure builds and the tick seems to go away. Could it possibly be the oil pump?

it wouldnt hurt to replace it and if your doing the tear down process check everything out too make sure theres no cracks anywere or just a bad gasket
