So I got a job at an ammo company. 2 days in I needed time off to appear at the window for aa ticket. They said no. I wasn't going to jail so I quit and took care of the ticket the next morning. This was before thanksgiving.

So far I've gotten 2 checks from them. For 80 hours both in a pay period I worked 0 hours. Got an email today and theybsaid I'm still employed by and on the payroll for the company.

Will I be fine to cash the checks? Is that theft? I assume so.

If they consider it theft or not is not really the most relevant issue at hand (even though I would think it is theft). Taking pay for work you didn't do is dishonest.

I would go down, turn them into someone in HR (get a signed paper saying you did so) and then talk to them, maybe you can get the job back, if you still want it.

I really don't want the job back. Sitting in an office chair for 12 hours digging thru buckets of spent ammocasings and sorting them. Can't find my pants if my girl friend doesn't set them out for me let alone separate 20 different types of ammo casings.

What kind of pay were they paying you to sort brass LOL. Wow, the place I work had a girl work 1 day, then she needed a week off for a family vacation, then worked 2 weeks after returning from vacation, then needed another 3 days off for something. I was like shit I wish I could just have 1 day off when I need it. Its been over a year now with this employer and other than when they store is closed I work 6 days a week every week, leaving me Sundays to not get anything done due to the fact that most places are closed on Sundays of course. But its a job and $8 an hour which is almost a dollar an hour more than I was making before. But at the same time some days its like is it really worth it considering the BS I deal with every day it seems like.

9$ an hour. I'm assuming they have a mix up or something. What little i did work. They thought I was a Kyle. And said I was fired if I missed any days. I haven't clocked in.

Weird I'd definitely not deposit or cash those checks and return them to H.R. and find out what's going on. So I wonder if this other guy hasn't received a paycheck in a few months LOL.

Well $9 an hour is $1 an hour more than I'm making now but Lewiston is a bit far for me to drive from Emmett LOL.

Lol. There hiring for 8 entry level position if you want a job.

I'd spend all my income on gas though. Can't afford to move, living without rent payments or house payment is the only way I'm surviving. Too much debt and they wouldn't hire me due to my credit history anyways that's why I can't get a job anywhere descent.

My credit score is like 425... there hiring any one and every one

If I could afford to move I'd jump on it. Wonder what they would do if I dumped my bucket of brass in theirs LOL.
