I have a 2000 Ranger 3.0l V6 manual. I was turning the wheel pushing it in the driveway with the engine off and when I went to drive it the steering was jerking when turning. And I noticed the power steering must have squirted out of the little hole in the cap. Not sure what I did. I think I got air in the power steering or something. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

You are correct about the cause. Just drive it. The problem will correct itself.

No, air in the system from turning the wheel with the engine off makes rack and pinion steering vibrate until it works its way out. Best way to do it is get on the highway and drive in a straight line for a bit, then go down a curvy road.
