steering issues and a low budget

thanks bud, i will get back to you and let you know how it went. P.S. i do have the upper and lower bracket holes. And also does it matter if the inside diameter of the washer is more than 1-3/8?

If it's much more than 1-3/8" I.D., it'll have a lot of slop under the perch (up to 1-1/2" might still work, but I'd try to find the 1-3/8" ones first. Alternatively you could get 1-1/4" I.D ones and then use a rattail file to make 6 small notches in it so it can fit over the axle hex stud).

Or use a rotary tool to make your holes a little bit bigger...
I bought washers that were only like 1" I.D. and was going to just use a grinding stone to make the holes bigger, but I ended up picking up lift coils so I dont need the spacer now.

Believe it or not, a coarse rat-tail file is much faster than a Dremel or the like (I've used both). Though I guess the Dremel would be a little less work lol.

The notches in a 1-1/4" washer only need to be about 1/16" deep.

well i put the bolts in the upper holes and it kicked the tires way out on top. i drove it to the allignment shop and told him what i did and he looked at me like i was speaking greek. i will gett it back tommorow and let you know if it worked. I noticed while looking closely that one of my coils is bowed or compressed more than the other, is that something to be worried about?
