these forums work best when the Op gives plenty of FEEDBACKabout the truck. There are 2 mains reasons why I believe this. 1) it helps us in the process of helping you with your truck FOR FREE. 2) any future members that might be having a similar issue and read this thread.
ps. I changed the hangers and shackles on my truck and I removed my bed to do it![]()
Not sure why you're insinuating that I'm not giving feedback. The fuel pump issue has turned into more of a "rehab the entire rear of the truck under the bed" issue. When I'm done I'll have all new spring hangers, a new fuel pump/sending unit with new lockring, drained and refilled rear diff with finned aluminum cover, and rust removed/encapsulated and painted frame rails and axle. I might even put a new receiver hitch and shocks on it as well.
I'd like to stay with the factory bed bolts, but the local dealer wants $14 a piece for them. Should I stick with these or just go to a standard hex head grade 8 setup? I've read where people take the clips off the frame and weld nuts to them and use standard bolts. Anybody have any experience here?
