Springs Pop out - 2.5" front spacer lift installation

I have a 2011 Ford Ranger XL 2.3L AT 4x2. Very simple truck and I love my Ranger. This site has helped me in so many different ways.
Recently I had my mechanic install a 2.5" Wulf spring coil front lift kit.
However, I have had to go back twice now because after hitting a bump in the road, the springs have come out of place and now front suspension doesn't work right.
The spacer was installed at the top of the spring.
From the image you can see that the spring is no longer within the spacer.
Should there be a collar, cone, alignment tool or something that helps to guide the spring to remain in place? Does it matter if the spacer is at the top or at the bottom of the spring?

Where does the instructions say to place the spacer. I would think it matters. It might be why the spacer keeps falling out.
 
That's part of the issue- Wulf's instructions don't really say much. I've sent a message in to Wulf also to see if they can clarify that for me. However, after using their website to contact them, their chat feature, and now their email... i'm still hearing crickets from them.
That's another reason why I'm looking here to see if anyone has experienced this and what solution did they find to resolve it.
 
your front shock absorbers are too long and are allowing the arm to drop far enough to release tension from the spring.


how's that for an internet guess?


your front shocks look like those intended for a 4wd/torsion bar system. they are longer than 2wd coil spring shocks. which do not have the lower extension.
a 2" travel at the wheel is only 1" at the shock because it's closer to the pivot point/lower bushing.

My mechanic did indicate that the struts I provided him were not long enough and so he got some others locally. That could be another issue.
right now I’m thinking that I should have him place the spacers on the bottom of the spring and then install the other new srandard Struts I provided.
 
Spacer’s should be on the bottom of the springs. Fastened to ttb by the nut and washer that hold the springs to it! Not sure if you using a pivot axle drop with the spacer’s, really need it to set the camber right. If not the camber is way out at the top and will cause excessive wear on the front tires! Body lift is easier to do and doesn’t change the center of gravity! Keeps the suspension like factory ride and gives clearance for larger sized tires and wheels! Hope this helps you out!

2011. He doesn't have ttb suspension.

Broncoiiman was talking about a different front suspension setup used on older (pre-1997) Rangers. Your setup is very different.
 
Gonna look up the kit you bought and do some research it! Way different setup
 
Spacer goes on the bottom according to there images from what I’m seeing dude! Spring rides in the groove in the spacer! Seems pretty easy from the pics

I saw the same thing, but I don't know enough about "lifts" and "springs". It's why I mentioned the directions provided by "WULF"
