sport trac wheel base

With enough fab work a Ranger will fit on a 1/2 or even a 3/4 ton frame, so I don't see why the same wouldn't be true of a Sport Trac.

On the other hand you are probably asking "Can I just grab this Sport Trac body and bolt it right to a Ranger frame?", in which case I would guess the answer is...

no.

Now if you managed to talk RSH into hooking you up with one of those Mexi-can 4-door ranger frames, you might have some better luck.

What's the ultimate goal here?

The wheel base for the 02-05 sport trac is the same as an extended cab ranger. Anything is possible with enough time and fab work, but why not just use the complete sport trac to build off of?

I just finished putting a cummins 4bt in my ranger, and found out the wife is pregnant, need room for the car seat :) I did the avm lockout hubs on my ranger and from my research is not an option on the explorers.

Plus I had to do some fab work to make the cummins and allison automatic fit, just wondering how much work it would take to swap bodies.

Thanks for the info

trust me i would hook u up if i could.
the ones around here are argentinians tho. same as the mexicans, but not mexicans lol.

i think its the same frame from the ext cab/long bed rangers . :icon_confused:
so a cab and bed would work on any ext cab/long bed frame.

Any proof of this? Build thread or pictures or anything?

Well, now that we have an end goal we can work towards a solution. an ex-cab frame might work, but it will probably still take a lot of fab work.

check out my post on 4btswaps.com same user name.
I have more pics to post, maybe tomorrow

are those Central/South American 4 door Rangers the same Ranger we get here or is it one of the rebranded Mazdas?

Um, our Rangers have been re-branded Mazdas since 98. The South/Central ones are pretty similar as I understand it, but they aren't up to US crash safety standards, the A-pillars are too weak.

mine is a 99 and it says ford lol. its not a rebadged mazda.
south american rangers have the same body and frame as the american rangers.

thai rangers are a whole different soup.

mmmm, Thai Soup.
