Hello, I have a 94 Ford Ranger 4x4 3.0 litre V6 and a 1354 Tcase. I have done the conversion and purchased teh correct gear for teh speedometer sensor. However I have to now replace the sleeved gear that is behind the output yoke in the t case (it is chewed up). I have been told I need the colors to match, but the tech page said nothing about changing the gear in teh tcase. Do I need to match the colors, or can I just get a stock white gear and it will mesh with the new maroon gear. If I have to color match, where can I get one?:icon_confused:
Thanks for the help

The gears can be different colors. What kind of conversion did you do?

I used the tech page speedometer conversion, at the time I knew the mph showing compared to the true mph, true 33 x 12.50 tires and 3.73 gear ratio. Thats how I found out the maroon gear was the one I needed. It has been a while since I did that, a couple of years actually. I have been driving based on the rpms. If I do not need to change the stock spacer then I will try that. I can get that at the Ford dealership, or the junk yard.
