Hey guys. I have a 91 XLT Ranger with a 3.0, 5-speed manual transmission. I just swapped out my 3.45 rear for a 4.10 and my speedometer is about 13 mph off! I did the math and need about a 24-tooth gear for my M50D-R1 trans. Unfortunately, they only go up to 21 teeth.

I was looking at Speedometer Driven Gears for the 83-95 Mustangs, and they look really similar. I haven't had the change to compare them physically yet, but my question is this: Has anyone put an 83-95 Mustang Speedometer Driven Gear in a 91 (or any year) Ranger, and lived to tell about it? Reason being, they make a 23-tooth gear and that would get me really close to what I need. Thanks and looking forward to the responses.
