hi, i'm not new to trs but have been away for a couple years (got into a cadilliac phase) so anyway i just picked up a 97 3.0 5spd, low miles good shape. My problem is i went to change the spark plugs and they have to be origional because there is nothing to grab with the plug wrench due to rust\rot, any thoughts would help please i really don't want to pull the motor, thanks in advance

I would try spraying/soaking them in something like PB Blaster.

Try and get a slightly smaller socket on there too. You can also freeze the plug itself with a can of air duster to shrink the metal to help get a smaller socket on there if need be.

OK, maybe stupid question but, are you using the correct size socket? I find it hard to believe the hex head has rusted away. If so then maybe those advertised sockets that grab rounded hex heads.

Good home made penetrating fluid is acetone and Dexron transmission fluid 50/50 mix - better than PB Blaster.
