Spark kncok

i've always heard it been called a spark rattle, but anyway, i had a mechanic look at my truck he said the spark rattle comes from too low of octane fuel. he told me to run a tank of high octane fuel through it and it should go away and it did

DPFE is Differential Pressure Feedback Sensor. I forget why the "E" is there. Anyway, in your EGR tube on the left side of the engine, there is a small orifice, with tubes coming off before and after the orifice. As exhaust gas flows through the tube, you get a slightly higher pressure before the orifice as compared to after the orifice. The pressure difference is directly proportional to the amount of flow. Higher the flow rate, the bigger the pressure difference. The silicon tubing from tose tubes run up to the DPFE, which measures the Differential Pressure and sends a voltage signal back to the computer. That way, the computer determines how much exhaust gas is being recirculated, and adjusts as needed. To apply a little vacuum to the EGR valve, with the engine idling, remove the vacuum hose from the top of the EGR valve and apply a little vacuum from any other vacuum source on the engine. Old timers like me just stick on a clean hose, and suck on it a little with your mouth. The valve should open easily and smoothly.
