Couldn't find forum where this goes so...

I have no key for my F16 spare tire lock. Which means I might as well not even carry a jack. I have roadside assist so probably they would fix a flat situation. But it should work. Yes I know some people just break it out but I'm trying to keep all stock right now. afaik, there's only 16 possible keys. I wrote Ford local parts and never heard back. What should I do, just buy another lock and somehow smash out the old one? Seems to me if you had all the keys you could just try them until one works. Or you could have a locksmith make a key but that would probably cost more than a new lock. I know it sounds trivial, but I'm just trying to knock out things one by one until everything works, and I've done well over half already. Thanks.

Thanks RonD that sounds great. I have owner manual, a bit tattered, it sounds like you're saying it would be separate piece of paper with them... will look again, but don't recall seeing it. I have some other cool stuff like business card of place where it was originally purchased - not of any real use, just kind of neat. If VIN ties to key code then that should give me that same info. Much appreciated.

Codes can be in the owners manual on a sticker/label inside front or back cover

Ahh.. um, owner's manual has no covers, all pages are there except a few of the index pages. Thanks for clarifying. Will drop by Ford place soon about this per your post.

Where do you even carry a spare tire on an F16? Do you just pull over on the nearest cloud to change a tire so it's ready for your next landing?
