No! I'll check my tap/bit chart tomorrow and give you another reply. Don't get in a rush and drill it the wrong size.

It's tomorrow! A 3/8"-18NPT tap requires a 9/16" Drill Bit. Probably too much bit to control in a hand drill. My 9/16" bit is stepped to 1/2" for use in my drill press. Your local industrial supplier should be able to fix you up.

I installed this one.
Be Cool Electrc Fan (Summit Part# BCI-75058)
1,300 cfm
16.00" diameter
2.000" thick
This is the puller fan. Don't know what the part# is, but its available as a pusher, too. At 2" thick, it is the thinnest fan I could find. I paid about $92 for it.
Do you need a relay kit? I might be able to save you some $$$.

These are the only two pics I have of the fan. Plus, the pic of my relays installed in the Power Distribution Box. I went to Pick-N-Pull and got the pieces parts I needed to install 2 more "fuel pump relays" at the front of the box - wired 'em up to the "unused" fuses, to use as Fan Relays. Fan2 is currently there, but not used. If I ever need more fan, I am setup to install a pusher - just wire it in.

I think that I may have a 9/16"bit .Kind of waiting on the tap I have ordered before drilling anything. I have the relay /wireing kit but thanks for the offer.
I was planning bolting the housing to a block of would and useing a drill press.
I have 1 17" fan(about 2.5") rated at about 2300 cmf with about enough space between it and the water pump to skinny the belts in. Yours look very nice.
