Even if it does, pats can either be tuned out or you can swap ecu's. When I did the swap in the jeep I deleted all emissions including egr, even pulled the circuits out of the harness entirely. It has a check engine light on, which is expected, and it runs a little rich cause I didn't install the rear O2 sensors, but other than that it runs good. I'm going to talk the owner into getting a tuner to delete the emissions and rear O2 sensors. That will give it better fuel economy. Ok, so i can run it off my 86 GT ecu, or find a non PATS ecu?

Good, on my meatstain motor, i took all the egr crap outta the harness too. Im glad to hear that it functions without all the EGR bullcrap!
 
The only problem I have not figured out is my speedo issue. With the cruise control module plugged in, it does not work; however, with it unplugged, it works but it kicks on at 30 mph. I have a Garmin in my truck so I just use that as my speedo. The more I think about I may just make a custom gauge cluster running all full sweep electric gauges. Time to go hit up Jeg's and start pricing it out.
