I found out that my brother, the one who pretty much installed and wired up my V8 ranger, has been having some heart issues of racing and feeling like he's going to pass out. He's only 27 and only drinks water and milk, he gave up pop last year because the doc told him the symptoms could be linked to the caffeene.

Well, they aren't and he hasn't told anyone until yesterday he broke down and called mom and schedualed another appointment with the heart doctor.

Please say a prayer for him. He needs courage to help him get through this. I pray that it's something simple and cureable.

Thank you.

I forgot to say.

I have a friend that was having some of the same kind of things going on.
It turned out he needed more zinc in his diet. Mention it for him to ask his doctor about.

Mike.

Praying that all turns out well my friend.....

good luck to him!!!

i am 29 and been having the same exact problems, i need to see a doctor

Look up something called "Wolf-Parkinson-White Syndrome"

Shit, I did it for you...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolf-Parkinson-White_syndrome

And if the Doctor prescribes Amiodarone, ask if there are any alternatives you can try FIRST, because the Side effects of Amiodarone can be nearly as life threatening as the Tachyrythmia.

Like I've known several people who became instant diabetics (insulin required) as a side effect of Amiodarone, two of them reverted to normal when they stopped taking that shit, one of them didn't recover and still needs insulin.

THE biggest problem at the moment is that your brother is "Freaked out" by it, (Honestly, he should be, but BEING "Freaked out doesn't help) tell him to relax,
If it was going to kill him It was most likely to have
done so the FIRST time it happened
(it's a common cause of sudden inexplicable death in men 25-40)

I know two people who died from it.

Sitting calmly and controlling his breathing can be nearly as effective as drugs or treatment.

How long do his episodes last?
the longest and most miserable I've ever had lasted 34hours.

AllenD,Can I please have your phone # so I can call you the next time I'm sick! You sound better than my Doctor!

Prayers for your bro!

I hope and pray he gets better real soon! Everybody go see your doctors and get a checkup, and take care of yourselfs! I know I had health problems three years ago and looked like I'd have to get better to die. Doctors at Mayo clinic said "Fever of Unknown Origin":shok:

I know of someone with the same issues, same age too. It took a while, but the doc's finally came up with an effective plan and he's much better now. Not sure what medications are involved, but soda pop and caffeine consumption are highly restricted.

Actually I cheat... I only answer questions I know the answer to.
It's called wisdom in action.

Knowing the answer (in this case) is about personal experience.
