Ok as far as the truck it started off a 1wd wrecked edge. I made it look like a 08 and added full facotry 4wd. I bought a explorer and took everything i needed off of it. Im sure most of yal know the egde has the 4wd frame. I took the factory harness out of the explorer and made a wiring harness out of it for the 4wd and spliced it into the rangers wiring harness. It uses all factory fuses in the central juntion box etc. That was a fun process right there lol. Everything else pretty much bolted up. Had to have a drive shaft made and the tranny rebuilt and switched over fro 4wd. Also had to do some more wiring for the abs and swithc modules. This is why i hadnt been on in a while.

Ok as far as specs

4.88 gears with a lockright in the rear
i have the level 2 front shocks on the front and tbars cranked
On the rear i have a 4 inch block with mx6 shocks
Tires are 33 inch km2s
Front brakes are cross drilled and slotted power stops
I want to add a 4 link to the rear later on for a little more axle protection

I have the dixxon brother racing front bumper with skid plate and the level 2 front skid plate modified to work with the bumper

I went with the tire gate because it was best for me, i couldnt give up my truck bed and i was dragging my spair when i had it under the truck. It didnt chane my departure angle much and beefs up the back of the truck. Also can pick it up with my hi lift.

So its been alot of work but it this thing will go about anywhere now. Its my daily driver also so it get used for a little bit of everything.

How do you get around without a front license plate? I got pulled over with mine in the windshield because the cop said it had to be in the stock location.

Long story as to why its not on there right now, i need to put it back on though. Idk, in the time ive had that truck its only had the front plate 20 percent of it. Sounds like that cop was just looking for a excuse to pull you over. My oher truck has had a front plate 2 percent of its life.

Yeah, except for an Extended cab.

I don't think I'd ever actually want to own a regular cab truck (unless it's the one above ), I just like the look better.

I think its a fact that its the best body style ford has ever put on a truck lol.

Thanks for the compliments i cant tell you how many hours my dad and me have spent on that truck to get it the way it is. I won first place in my class with it at the 4 wheel jamboree in 2008. Im really proud of that. The judges LOVED IT. Straycat i have thought many times about puting the factory front bumper back on it, i think it would make it look alot bigger. I have nothing to pull from with out it if i take it off though. I also like being able to stand on it when working on it. I am going to get it painted to match the truck one of these days just havent got to it.

True story this truck use to be used to make trails and save so many other trucks and jeeps. After i got the body work done i dont do that anymore. I still take if offroad though just now on wider trails.

Jay Fx4 a car ran a red light and mine was green, ya that bumper disected that car. Hurt my truck to though, pushed the frame over. Thats when it got all the body work done.

Oh forgot to say my next truck wont be a regular cab, i love the looks of them and wont be geting rid of the 96. The ranger fell into my lap and i liked it and couldnt stop myself from modifying it, plus i work for ford so the possibilites can be endless. If i get another truck it will be a raptor, but i will be waiting till i run into a clean used one. I talk to so many people that say they will never take them offroad. Why buy a offroad truck if you wont ever even put it in 4wd? Or why buy a jeep rubicon and put dubs on it. Things a good ol boy like me will never understand lol.

completely agree. That is why i dont spend 34 grand plus on a truck made for offroad.
