I have a 87 4x4 ext cab.I was going to get some explorer springs to get just abit more lift.
When I was at the junk yard thy have a lift kit I got cheap. I cant find who made it.
What concerns me I have read about alot of problems with some lifts here on the forums.
I was also looking at the springs and there making me think my truck ride like a rock, which is not what I want.
I hope I did not make a wrong choice by getting by getting the lift.
here is a pic of that I got.

The first thing you want to do is get rid of that bracket in the lower left part of the picture. That will put a hole in your differential when you hit bumps.

Yes the lower left bracket is junk. That being said see the plate on the back side of the cross member, that is the same bracket cut up used as a large “washer”. I made my own drop plate using the one you have a template. Made mine of 3/8” cold rolled plate as I thought ¼” wasn’t enough. Mine is also clearanced so that it wont hit the diff.

As for the other bracket I have the same one in my truck as well. See I got these brackets for free as they are junk in stock form it you want to beat the piss out of your truck. One of the mounting tabs busted off. So I guseted them all and just welded some extra 3/8” plate on them for shits and grins.
