Hey there,
I have a 94 B4000 4x4 Ext Cab, picked it up not long ago for $1000 and love it. At any rate I hit a decent sized pot hole the other day and all of a sudden this awful noise started up. Long story a little shorter I finally managed to figure out it was the carrier bearing (aka Center Support Bearing) and picked up a whole new assembly from the parts place for ~$70. Not too bad, I am relatively mechanically inclined and feel like i can do this work myself instead of paying a shop to take care of it. I just want to make sure I am doing everything the right way. Does anyone have a link to a good how to on this proceedure or be willing to share a little info with me?
I know to start i have to mark the drive shafts so that when it comes time to but them back into place they are still balanced, but other than that I would be going into it sort of blind.
I have already done some work on the truck and it all went very well but this is the first time I will be messing with the drive train on any vehicle and just dont want the first time to go to shit.
Any help would be GREATLY appricated!

i changed mine out recently. I just put it in a vice and hit it with a dead weight to get it off the yoke. put the new carrier berring on and hook everything back up
