I put some 29 tall x12 wide rear slicks. I'm trying to get the rpms down at the track.

Looks sweet. I wonder what difference putting on a regular bed might do for the top end? Tho I do like the looks of the flare side. Other aero mods I'd be tempted to try would be some fairly rigid plastic under the bumper fascia and under the sides between the wheels.

yeah I don't like the regular beds. the truck is doing pretty good for what we use it for and I have never seen another one at the track we go to. I see s 10's all the time but never a ranger. we just did the truck shoot out and I had the only ranger.

Just got my 275 60 17s on, following suit for more meat out back:

Could I get a couple more pics of those Cobra rims on your supercab at some different angles? I've been debating swapping mine from my lowered Ranger to my 4x4, but I didn't know how they would look with larger tires. Are you using spacers or not? (I have 30mm spacers behind them on the lowered Ranger).

Existing tires are due for replacement in not too distant future, so I could make the change; but I would like to know that they won't look strange. (My 19 year old thinks they look just fine under his '02 Mustang; if I put 275/60s on them, the inter family tire swap would be slowed down...)

Thanks in advance,
Don

I'm not running spacers and they fit it pretty good.

What brand of tires are those? How's traction?

New thread idea, 'Will it fit' for lowering and lifting. Boom! That just happened.

EDIT:

Nevermind. They already exist but not up to my standard though.

They don't look bad at all; and then it could squeeze some bigger discs into the front. (Work in engineering prototype shop, so it will just be a couple weekends on the mill to make a set of adapters to fit a set of Cobra rotors).

This is more of taste thing, than strictly fitment.

I don't like looks of just rubber band on rim for 4x4. And I don't want to go huge on tire size.

Tirerack had a nice feature where you could put rims and tires on your vehicle and see how it looks, but Cobra rims and Rangers are too old. tiresize.com will allow one to compare tires on their generic rims, but again, bikini on mannequin isn't same as real thing. :P
