Thinking about putting this stuff in my '94 supercab.

how many square feet?

anyone know of a good guide?

i used fat mat and in my 84 standard cab i used about 75 feet, thats everything on the interior. roof, fllor, back walls, side pillars, in the door cavity, and behind the door panel. i would just get 100ft, thats what i did. its under 150 shipped. its great stuff. i got the 80 mil thick stuff.

and what were your results?

temperature difference?

road noise difference?

audio improvement?

the fat mat is 50 mil thick. the better stuff "rattle trap" is 80 mil thick and about twice as much $209. is it that much better?

any guides or tutorials?

tempurature, warmer in winter, cooler in summer, holds the heat better.

before i couldnt hear myself think, with the fatmat, i could carry on a conversation no problem. also less wind noise with windows down.

harder bass hits, cleaner highs.

i didnt get the rattle trap. i bought mine off ebay. 50 mils should be fine. you could double it up on the roof and floor cause you will have extra.

the only tip i have is make sure you clean the surfaces really well. dont use laquer or alcohal based product. get some good degreasers and clean it up. then clean it well with the cleaner supplied.

i would spray the floor with a rust proof paint. i did it to mine just for over kill, you dont have to but its better to be safe then sorry. and dont overlap the mat. it doesnt come out right.

also, on the ceiling, get a can of upholstery adhesive and give the roof a quick coat. then when its tack, lay the mat on. this is just to make sure the fatmat never comes down when its real hot out.

and make sure to outline where you dont want the mat to go, when its down, it aint comming up.

post pics and have fun, if you need anything, just pm me. :icon_thumby:
