Second thing is once i do get this truck up and running 100% i'd like to go somewhere and meet up with some ranger people from here. Right now what i need is to get it tagged and titled, insured and all that again, then get 2 front locking hubs and put the 4x4 back in it, get the speedometer fixed and get the P-Brake fixed as well as that stupid shifter problem.

i get called ferrett all the time. -_-

I'm a smarty pants to! We must be brothers!

i used to get teased about my last name too...you won't care so much after a little while.that's high school stuff, you just need a few more years under you to forget about it and realise how unimportant it is.

and if we're brothers,mom had a lousy imagination....my names tom,too.

(hi,i'm chad-this is my brother tom,and my other brother tom...)

Which are your problems and which are other people's problems--figure that out.

Dump that girl with 3 kids. Your mom gets all the medicare and social security we pay doesn't she? You have a highschool diploma? Get into junior college. Take the enterance exams, fill out the financial assistance forms.

And your mom should do whatever you say. If you need to move to an area with better opportunities--she's the one that decided to have a kid a 46 years old. You have some unusual pressure on you because of that. Dump the girlfriend right now. You don't have the means to deal with that at all.

Good thing Sig Freud is long gone or he would roast your balls and order us to stone you with pinecones.

I know my recommendations are impossible and that you will just carry on as always. I was once a platoon sergeant with many men in my charge. In the the early 90s people began to get married at a young age and permission was no longer required and I had a big problem with it. The Marine Corps turned into the Soap Opera Corps for me and I finally had to just get out of there. But your problem isn't unusual, I can assure you.

Hell, enlist in one of the 4 fine branches of the service. There's my advice.

Do something, though.

Yeah it doesn't bother me but it's rather amusing since people come up to me all the time in town and are like "Hi tanky or ferrett". I'm like "Um hi? O.o who are you?" lol. I've got people come to me all the time that i don't even know. Tend to be the reason i don't visit the mall in Tallahassee anymore. Got alil weird.

But that would be a interesting meeting lol! My best friend of 6 years gets his feathers ruffled when my mother calls him crissy pooh. Each time she does i laugh my arse off.

i think mom is grandma will. mom bailed.

I've dumped her quite a bit ago but the thought still linger. Also mom does have medicaid but it does not pay for it all. She still has to spend over $200 a month on medication and she only gets $1000 or so. Not to mention the other high bills we have to pay. With the constant hassle of debt collectors bothering us. No i don't have a HSD. I've got a G.E.D and around here that isn't acceptable, most branchs of the service won't even talk to me when i mention i have a G.E.D, i tried talking to the navy, air force, marine recruiters in lake city and tallahassee and none of them will sign me up. As for the army, i tried that once and the assholes got my drug test mixed up with another kid that was in there and said i smoked weed. I never smoked weed in my life and never will. But the sgt won't even talk to me anymore. So as for the military as much as i wanted to go, doesn't work. Not to mention i am the only one here to take care of my mother and shes still quite sick. So i have to remain close to her. But as for moving, like i said were in finance trouble as is, so i don't see that happening anytime soon or else we'd be in Alabama right now.

And yes, my grandmother is practically my mother since she raised me from 3 months old. My real mother was a slut who couldn't tell me who my father was even if we lined up 15 men she slept with in the same month she got seeded with me. So i could careless about her, but my grandmother is my savior. And well thats all i can say about that. Now my grandfather was a aircraft mechanic on the U.S.S enterprise for 36 years, and he died of cancer.

Oh i know man and i expected it to come along. But every now and then i am the kinda person that needs a lil push or someone point me in the right direction since i tend to get derailed once in awhile. It took me about 2 years to figure out that i needed to stop drinking as heavy as i did due to me trying to drown it all out. I learned i needed to throw it away when my best friend beat my ass all over the yard. >_> But i still thank him to this day for it, knowing that if i had kept on i'd only screw myself over more.

story of my life.

Seems to be the same with me mate. Not to mention if this computer gets the blue screen of death one more time, i will be having a match of it vs the wheel on my ranger. -_-

My real name is Peter, Imagine what names I have been called.. :icon_twisted: LOL

Things will look up man, I agree that you'll probably have to get more school to make up for the GED. I did terrible in high school. Actually I got expelled and I wouldn't have graduated had I not gone to alternative learning, I didn't care and it was easy. Went to college and graduated with good grades. After that, a diploma or GED doesn't really matter. If you go to college, go for something you are good at. What they teach you in college compared to what you'll do in the real world can be compared to filling a thimble and having enough left over for a shot of scotch. Most I went to college with are not using their degrees..

For me i have this thing about school, if it's not interesting to me i won't do it. Only reason i have a G.E.D and not a normal HSD is because my math teacher wouldn't do crap for us in the classroom. He wrote a page down and told us to do it, if we went to him and asked for help on a problem, instead of doing like a teacher should and TEACH, he wrote us up and sent us to the deans office, so eventually everyone in his class failed. But if i do manage to find some way to go to college or take a votech class it'll either be game design and development or auto mechanics. I had been in AM but due to me having to take care of a certain someone at a time i had to be home 24/7 so i had to drop out. A lot of things piled up and well turned me to crap...but i am slowly chuggin along.

I am the same way about being hard headed about stuff, but as you get older just need to suck it up, don't have much other choice. Don't dwell on the past, need to look a head in time. My college was all year round 4 hours a day, think it would be reasonable, but then I don't know your situation. Then there's the money factor which sucks, and you can go places without a college degree, it takes a very long time at the right place. Or start your own business (why not?).. Start small and work your way up, my company doesn't hardly advertise, if you do good work, word of mouth and repeat customers will keep you floating. My friend's dad's body shop works on this model also. But you're still young, and it won't get any easier..

FWIW Game development takes a VERY math oriented mind. I have a degree in Software Applications and Programming, been programming since I was a kid so it seemed like a good idea. It was a breeze for me because I already knew what I was doing.. :)
