So I get home from Afghanistan and go on block leave thinkin I'm gonna have a good time only to find out that my heavy footed brother destroyed my truck!!!! I had to drop 2300 dollars into it just to get it back to NY safely and have another couple hundred that needs to be put into it to get it back to original order before I deployed!!! I had to get the heads replaced, O2 sensors replaced, tires replaced, serpentine belt replaced and a few other items replaced. I still yet have to replace both diff. covers that are leaking pretty bad, my ABS light is on and my brakes occasionally lock up when braking, my driver's door leaks from the top, got a popping noise in the front end when turning and I now get shitty gas milage. Gonna be interesting figuring this all out. Thinking about getting a 5.0 in tha Ranger, but I just put so much into it! Oh yea, if anyone is looking for a diamond plated truck box, I have one for sale for $100, it's chrome but now painted flat black. Fits standard box, not stepside. Just needed to blow off some steam, thanks for reading!:annoyed:

Inform your brother if he takes your truck again you'll consider it stolen. And yes, really call the cops.

also if he doesn't fork over some money for repairs file a police report about the tool box. That's graffiti.

Sounds like bro needs to get sent to boot camp and his pay sent to you man. Hope it all comes together and thank you eternaly for watching our backs and welcome home, post up some pics of your rig too when you get time.

What did he do to cause all that crap? Sounds like some of that was due for service or due from not being serviced. My 99 Ranger needs nothing and I never ever have had a leak anywhere. You mean he caused the differential covers to leak or the 02 sensor to go out or the door leaks, and the ABS issues? Or this is some issues you had before??

Yeah what he said was his brother drove his truck while he was deployed. He probably drove it alot, abused it, and never got it serviced.

It's a 2000. I bet it needed service and never got it when he was here. I don't know anybody who can cause differential leaks. This was leaking before his brother got it, and the same with the brake issues...it needs to be serviced when it is time..not three years later. It seems to me, he is blaming his brother for some of the issues he did not take care of before he left for deployment.....

I know people who can cause diffs to leak. I've seen it happen.

They pull to far into a spot, get the cover stuck, and bend it backing out.

That's so not right dude. I'd deffinately investigate that. Although, It could be worse, it can always be worse, and be very greatful that it isn't. I'd force your brother to help you with the truck or make him pay. So not cool.

no matter what shape the truck was left in before he got deployed, his brother shouldn't of been using it, and if he was given the ok to drive it, he should of also taken care of the maintenince, afterall, he doesn't have to use that truck and take care of it, but he chose to use it, need i say more?

I take care of my truck and it's not a POS, I am as meticulous with my POV as I am with my rifle! Who are you to talk smack about tha situation, and you call yourself a vet, thought we all had eachothers' back, you must have been one of those Blue Falcons that we all take to tha back 40. My bro blew the engine in his truck and got ahold of me in Afgh asking to borrow mine till he got his fixed, my truck was fine when I left and I come home to having to pick it up from tha shop that he had it towed to because it couldn't even be driven it was in such bad shape. The truck only has 126K on it and only 30K on the tranny since the rebuild. Both diffs had fluid changes and resealed 6 months before I deployed and I don't beat on my daily driver. Thanks to tha guys for tha support which is pretty much everyone but you Stray. Have a great Friday the 13th everyone, especially Stray.:icon_cheers:

Hmm, he blew up his own truck so you let him borrow yours and expect it to not get beaten?

That one was kinda predictable.

Also, just have a lot of Taco Bell, then go hold him down and sit on his head while you fart. That ought to be some good revenge.

I knew he was hard on his own vehicles, but never would have figured he'd thrash mine like that. I really wanted to rip his head off and #2 down his neck, but he is still my brother either way, when ya don't spend much time home, ya tend to think things through a bit differently.

When you left you checked the milage of the truck and then checked it when you got back, right? How many miles were on it when you got back? Was the truck wrecked by your brother? You need to maintain your truck, which you do not. You blame your brother for ALL of the issues and I said I did not think he was responsible for all the issues. You need to grow up.
