Snow Wheeling

Thanks for all the comments.
First off Yes, I have broken 3 chromoly shafts always the outer stub shaft they are warns but come with a lifetime warranty. Before the ctm's I had ox joints and broke one of those and didn't care for the design so I went with CTM's and have never broke one.
(I am very hard on stuff so others may never have these issues)

Secondly as far as doing the swap itself I endend up doing it several diffrent times due to steering issues and moving the axle farther foward to get the tire out of the firewall. But now that I've done it and everthing works right I could do it much easier than before.

Lastly with leafs in the front the ride is decent but not great I've got Nitrogen charged bumps on there and that made a huge diffrence but I need a nitrogen bottle and hook ups as to adjust for going from Rock Crawling to flying through the desert. Handling on street is actually very decent for such soft susp. If I had to do it again I would do a three link with coilovers, right now we are building my brothers tacoma with that setup and seems like the way to go.

Thanks for the info! We did a SAS on my old '93 Explorer and it wasn't too difficult, but that was on the older TTB suspension. We also set it up with the original '78 Bronco spring/radius arms and full width. That truck actually drove beautifully down the street too, way better than the twisted torsion bar setup right now, anyways!

Any pictures of the build by chance?

Leaves

The Leaves i have up front are Alcan Custom built springs but based off of extended length wrangler yj front springs and the rears are Alcan stock ranger length custom built springs. Both with Alcan's Orbit Eyes

Sorry I don't really have any pics of the build due to getting it ready for easter jeep safari.
But if there is any pics that would be helpful to anyone, just pm me and I can take pics of how my truck is now and send them to you
