snow storm

sh*t , i drove home on friday before last in a snow storm , visibilty was about 200 feet , winds were a steady 40 MPH , and they hadnt plowed in 2 days because the snow was comin down so hard ( about 8 inches on the roadways at least ) , and i just kept truckin on , all you do then is keep it between the poles , or in my case , stay behind your buddies with the Cummins powered 2500's , an hour and a half drive took me three , but i have driven in worse

had something like that last december. going back down to fort dodge, about a 3 hour drive. get 30 minutes from home and cant see past the hood of the ranger. thing never slipped and i kept going about 50mph. people thought i was crazy, especially since i had bald tires. drove out of the storm and made it to dodge in about 3 1/2 hours.

this last mild storm we had i went to put tires on the truck. i got there and they asked me if i was crazy for driving 40 miles to get tires considering there was no tred left on mine. i told them yes

ok, i got pics of my truck stuck. it was fun tho. i tried to go thru the snow drift but i slid down into the feild. i atleast got out from the help of a ford.

and it was cold and still snowing

I'm dying for that kind of **it around here. Snow-wheeling is 2nd to NONE! :headbang:

nothing like several inches of snow and a empty walmart lot!

you do yours free im assuming?

yep, I carry a strap and a chain with me in the winter time. I do it for free because in my younger days I would charge and then Karma bit me in the ass. every dime I had made for 2 days had to go to my truck being recovered by a wrecker at $150 an hour.

I also carry a damage waiver with me so they can't sue me if I break something on their car pulling them out.

we have anout 6" haha but about an our north they got about a metre and ahalf over 2 days...
