actually those pics are too small to see the #'s, you said 19 free right? :thefinger:

yep, 19 free, pig tail to pig tail, I only had have two hand and could not keep the screw driver working as a plum off the tip of the pig tai. but it hits 25 inches in the pick...25 subtract 6 =19 (I think I ran out of fingers and toes)........ethier you have a screen the size of a credit card, or your eye sight is going. as the pics come across for me quite large....:buttkick:

my photbucket acount is open to the public, it may show them bigger to you if you need.

I'll have some more numbers for you tomorrow if you still like.

starting to think I had taken some bad notes, as I got the front end on today and on the ground (still have the rear in the air with the springs pulled out sitting on jack stands) and the coils are coming out to 16.5-17 inches.
should have the rear done tomorrow and I can settle the front end to get a real number off them...

so yeah, send me my dunce cap

rick I figured as much.....:icon_cheers:

found this pic I had from the org skyjacker kit that was under my truck when I first got it.....show's the coil springs standing and makes it easy to count the loops from pig tail to pig tail.

took the cal's to the spring's I come up with a wire dia of .722-.726 I take the difffrence to be from the powercoat. as it was skipping around form coil to coil.....

also if you are looking at a good coil with a good fit you can always try deaver. Custom made coils are twice as expensive but you can request the spring rate and lift height and get exactly what you want. This way you dont have to worry about making XJ or early bronco coils fit and still get a softer coil than skyjacker. Just putting it out there

that would be $weet, but a cheep f*@ker like me with no super runner steering won't go that route.as it is now the 1000$ for runner steering and flexy set up (coil$ and $hock$) could go into the sas fund.a d44 w/35's on 6"s sounds about right.and the larger brakes and wheel bearings are just what the doctor ordered while keeping it suitable for daily duty.

thats why i'm asking about cheap coils that i can get for 50$ used.

But a flexy TTB is much more cool than a SAS IMHO.:)

And I can't explain it but I really think that there is an advantage TTB has over solid axles. Seems a TTB will "bite and grab" at the terrian where a solid axle can just spin. Maybe because of the jacking effect ?? I dunno.

I've ran with Jeeps ( not stock ) and they have come to me and ask if I have a locker, which I don't.

We're going out this weekend , I'll try and get some video. My wife doesn't like to ride through the wild stuff !!:icon_thumby:

I'm not sure how many among the masses would think a TTB is "cooler" vs. a solid axle, but it always is fun to show up those closed-minded enough to think that a SA is the only thing that belongs on the same trail they might be on :tease:

TTB actually does have one significant advantage over a solid axle... lower unsprung weight, although I can't see that really affecting things much at slower crawling speeds.

You don't NEED K-link steering to run flexier coils, but the requirement the stock linkage be dead-flat inline with the beams does become quite critical. It's possible you might have to swap pitman arms or change the amount of your lift's height.
