skyjacker coil q's?

I got a track width of 69 3/4 out side to outside tread

coils are sitting at 16 1/4 inches ride height as of now.

I'm not able to run the truck on the street right now as Im missing a shackle bot, and just have one stuck threw to pin it in place.

I have no front shock's at the moment (being rebuilt), so I threw some bead blast grit under the tires..so the tires would slip(got the ideal cause I fell on my ass walking threw it today in the drive way) and bonced the hell out of the front end, rear end, rocked it side to side, to get the springs to settle the best I could (these springs only have about 100 street miles on them)

I now know where I got the 15inches from, 15 1/4 is the "active" coil lenth with the weight of the truck on them.

TTB actually does have one significant advantage over a solid axle... lower unsprung weight, although I can't see that really affecting things much at slower crawling speeds.
the ttb probably handles better than an sas if it has correct steering and susp. tuning for a given lift height too.

You don't NEED K-link steering to run flexier coils,
it can be built pretty cheap too if you have a good welder and some experience.i've got no problem with a flexy d35 ttb in the right application(low wheel bearing load).not tryin' to hate on it(too much anyway-johnny's quote doesn't help haha) i just have my preference and the #'s add up.

my situation is i don't want to run coils with too much flex until i don't need it for work/firewood/hauling/towing. at that stage i think the larger bearings, brakes and slimmer profile of a d44 or trussed d30 with d44 knuckles would be better overall and a cheaper and simpler setup.you could add the cost of the d44 ttb knuckle swap to the figure i said above.

i have no money into a front locker or low gears and i can sell what i don't use from the JD lift.
my bro's heep here has more travel than shown and short shocks and base kit coils keep it from going even further.with a stout ford spec d44 in the toothpicks place(d30) i'm sure its a winning combo for 35-37's

lol, anyone notice that damn dog wants to be in a lot of my pics?
sorry to post a jeep but i see solid axles in action all the time and i must say i want one.
