I'm thinkin it's the new way to get your average tank mileage, instead of the mpg it's mpt...

Not saying it's bad, just different

I got to under a 1/4 tank and 303 miles, so I took it to a local gas station after work and put 12.9 gallons in it, I averaged 23mpg!!!

considering I was averaging 14-16 before, it all came down to how I drive, with a 3.0 auto w/ 4wd in 99 it was only rated to 19mpg highway.
